Bush clover, called "Hagi" in Japanese, has been one of autumn's seven favorite flowers since ancient times. It grows naturally in the mountains and decorates the most beautiful Asian gardens today such as that of Mukô jima Hyakkaen in Tokyo, where ten species are available to our eyes. It also continues to be an inspiration in literature, prized for its gentle, wild, and unpretentious beauty. More than 100 poems are dedicated to him in the oldest Japanese poetry book, the "Man'yō shū", dating back to the 7th century. In this limited edition, the glittering "Hagi" is illuminated by moonlight, delicately treated in Maki-e silver and red lacquer. In the background, the undergrowth takes the form of beautiful traditional fans made with a gray lacquer and gold dust. Featuring an 18-karat gold nib with an effigy of Mount Fuji, this pen will ward off evil spirits, line after line, in 2023.
